Age can change a person, i used to detest people who didn't know me call me "bro". Now, I have mellowed and don't mind it at all, in fact, I now like it, better then them calling me "uncle".....

Before talking more about myself, I’d like to pay tribute to the few shifu’s in the business, I won’t name each and everyone but just give a few a light hearted mentions… there is the King of Food, ST; that Greedy Girl; the good doctor; this guy that writes a diary; some nightlife guru; and Ah… the professor named after some wooden piece; plus the many more. My respects to all of you! I can never attain your knowledge, wisdom and efforts in 10 Cocker Spaniel lifetimes….

This is also made in memory of my late father, who passed away quietly during the “tough period”. Dying up to his favourite mantra of “I’d rather be a full ghost than a hungry one”, he “migrated” (his term, not mine) just after lunch, texting me over whatsapp from KL talking about Maggie Cheung at his favourite seat in the living room… he had always been an open minded optimist and good tempered. His smile shines on all those who know and remember him. He taught me humility; and passed on to me his gluttony, his yearn for knowledge (named me so too), a love for animals, generosity and welcome (our pet dogs had always been strays that came in through our open gate, only the last one was adopted as strays were banned and security nowadays means our gates are better closed), what I’d like to think a sense of humour, ...... and the lack of hair growth….

Ziggy was my beloved Cocker Spaniel, greedy like a pig. He learned the words crisps and chips before sit and stay… I still miss him. Here’s my tribute to him if you can be bothered

Former;y a stockbroker for 26 years, current Grab driver, part time eater, full time dreamer and never a typist (you’ll agree when you find the numerous typos!). I am waiting for my chance to go help a friend set up a food aid foundation in East Malaysia when Covid delayed this next phase of my life. Also an amatuer web developer, I thought I’d put my part time, full time and extra jobs together and start this website to share what my taste buds go through.

I understand that different people will have different taste buds, I always think that you put 5 persons together, you may not have a majority outcome, coz you can have 6 opinions! You could also come up with a simple 2 v 2, and a neutral go with the flow! (Thank you my Long time friend, for this wise insight…)
