Home of the Piakssant (pronounced piak-sohn, more on this later), Sanity Café is owned by one half of local pop group, The Freshmen, Ms. Diya Tan. Also an avid and competent photographer, you can see a lot of nice photos on their websites, facebook and IG!

Now, what is a piakssant? Flattened croissant! Trust the little talented artist to come up with a unique idea and name…. Because you make a "piak" sound when it is flattened! They probably got the idea watching this gorgeous guy (ie me…) one day at Delifrance and got the idea, flattered…
How does it taste? Well…. Like a flattened croissant! Haha. The Hawaiian piakssant has the nice taste of abundant ham and cheese with a hint of pineapple in a flattened croissant. It’s more compact than the usual croissant, less flaky and you get to taste the whole croissant in a bite without the air inside… so it is not bad at all! I might henceforth flatten all my future croissants before I eat them, as a matter of fact, it is a habit I sometimes do.

The Iced chocolate was strong and tasty, well worth a try too!

P.S. Understand that a certain local superstar whose name shall not be mentioned, comes by for a visit or two whenever he’s in town, you might want to drop by to rub shoulders…..
